Few people will ever have the opportunity to fly eyeball to eyeball with a bald eagle. For more than 50 years, Dale Fisher has been creating photographic art from a helicopter flown at low levels. Dale’s unique “eagle’s eye” perspective allows his audience to share with him the thrill of seeing what life looks like when you fly like an eagle, and you capture split-second visions with a camera. I am pleased to announce that “Visions of the Eagle” will be on display at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, MI from September 24 – October 12. They have added more […]

Dale Fisher visited Grass Lake Middle School earlier this week on behalf of the Michigan Center for the Photographic Arts. During three-1 hour sessions, 87 third graders learned how to take better photographs and how to correctly use a disposable film camera. Each student was given a disposable camera, a book on how to take better photographs and instructions. The students will take photographs & return the camera [and instruction book]. After processing, Dale will review each photograph, choose the best image, then print & mount an 8 x 10 to be a part of a future exhibit. “This program […]
Guess who made the cover of The November issue of the Grass Lake Magazine??? That’s right,… you guessed it… Me.. Dale Fisher. The topics of the article included information about my galleries, the wedding/reception center and the history of the farm, as well as, included a few of my photographs. Contact me if you ae interested, or I can make a pdf copy available.. This photo was taken between raindrops in front of the Eagle’s Nest Barn […]
Thanks to the help of my long-time friend, Diane Jones, I had the pleasure of experiencing ArtPrize® which is a radically open, independently organized international art competition with an unprecedented $200,000 top prize decided entirely by public vote. For 19 days, three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, art from around the world pops up in every inch of downtown, and it’s all free and open to the public. This year, there were more than 1,500 artists displaying their art at more than 150 venues. Although, I usually capture images at 120 mph from a moving helicopter. I chose to submit […]
